Care organisations
Aged care, supported living and home care providers with a setting, a group of people and everyday tasks worth evaluating.
Sydney AI is preparing Patricia for controlled research and pilot studies in ageing, supported living and home care.
Early studies can use Patricia on tablets or other simple devices, allowing researchers to evaluate conversation, continuity, reminders, practical assistance and user engagement before introducing physical robotics.
We are interested in collaborating with care organisations, researchers and consumers to determine where personalised AI assistance is useful, acceptable and safe.
Patricia is under development. We do not currently claim that it improves clinical outcomes, prevents cognitive decline or replaces professional care.
A study can begin with one setting, one group of participants and a small set of everyday tasks on a tablet. Staff or family stay in control throughout and can stop or take over at any point. Physical robotics is introduced only where a study finds that embodiment would add something a screen cannot.
Aged care, supported living and home care providers with a setting, a group of people and everyday tasks worth evaluating.
Groups studying ageing, independent living, human-computer interaction or assistive technology who want a working, adaptable assistant to evaluate.
Older people, people in supported living and their families, whose experience decides what is acceptable and what is worth keeping.
